Tent Bling
Each November, a horticultural gathering drew me on a scenic road trip across eastern Kenya, through Kitui’s red hills and baobab country near Tsavo. Between gardens, campsites, composting toilets, and pink beehives, the journey became a celebration of nature, friendship, and learning from fellow growers along the way together joyfully.
Mooshoo
2026 arrived with gratitude and a quiet challenge: to truly live. New Year’s Eve was spent alone with Mooshoo, until the morning brought seizures, fear, and unexpected lessons in resilience. As she recovered, the land scorched under relentless heat, bushfire preparations becoming daily ritual on the farm in rural Kenya.
